Pillayarpatti Karpaga Vinayagar temple is an ancient rock-cut temple. Scholars indicate that Lord Vinayaga is revered as the deity of wisdom. Known as "Karpaga Vinayagar," he is believed to fulfill the wishes of his devotees akin to the Karpagam tree.
